What can you expect from the design experience?
When it comes to designing client projects, we know that most often the answer already lies within the organisation. Therefore, our ambition is not to force or impose a right way of doing things but working closely with you to imagine the very best solution and bring it to life. Design is an iterative, additive and collaborative experience. We love creating something unique by combining the tried and trusted with the very latest thinking. We’re a bit like magpies, we can’t help but gather to us bright, shiny and new leadership thinking. Yes, we have models, systems and processes combined with the experience of working with countless people across multiple projects over the years, but it is how those are woven together that sets us apart.
Because we are external to the organisation, we aren’t caught up in the process or politics. We look for the bigger picture, we work hard to understand how we can best work with you to find a solution that will become embedded into the very fabric of the organisation.

What can you expect when you are in the room?
Whether in the room together physically – or more often these days, online – we want the experience of any shared space to be inspiring, engaging and thought-provoking. Because we don’t have a rigid formula, it isn’t always easy to convey what we do, but we know that people leave us feeling lighter, more connected, full of fresh thoughts and with a new sense of possibility.
We believe that people are amazing – they just sometimes need to be reminded about it. We see our job as helping to get people to recognise who they are and what they are capable of. We don’t think that it is always about upskilling people. We know that performance and service is most significantly impacted by how we think – so we focus on helping people to think differently, to think independently and see new opportunities. The most common feedback we hear after being in a room with us is that it differed hugely from people’s expectations [in a good way!]. That’s because we don’t spend our time talking at people, we create conversation, we engage and we ask people to show up and share what they know. We get people to think for themselves, to think as themselves and this uncovers the wisdom in the room.
