Introducing the Meeting of the Minds event......
MEETING OF THE MINDS
Imagine a team that not only understands itself better but thrives on that understanding. After a Meeting of the Minds event, your team will walk away with deeper insights about themselves and their colleagues, equipped with practical strategies to transform those insights into action, right away.
When great minds come together, what are the possibilities?
In just one Meeting of the Minds session, it’s perfectly possible for some or all of the outcomes listed below to happen.
- Deepen mutual understanding and appreciation: Foster stronger interdependence by recognising and valuing each other’s contributions. Getting into the habit of noticing what is good and saying so.
- Gain insight into thinking preferences: Understand the unique ways your team approaches tasks and problems. It’s a unique blend, it’s helpful to know what the ingredients are.
- Explore behavioural attributes: Learn how individual behaviours shape team dynamics. The small and seemingly insignificant ways of behaving are shaping your culture moment to moment. It’s fascinating!
- Flex thinking and behaviours for stronger connections: Discover how to adapt to connect more effectively with different working styles. And do it without changing who you are!
- Unlock cognitive diversity: Appreciate the power of diverse thinking to spark innovation. The difference can be powerful once it’s been spotted and appreciated.
- Harness ‘team intelligence’: Learn to collaborate effectively, leveraging the full potential of your collective wisdom. If everyone’s brains are turned up to full capacity, more of the time, that creates a huge amount of advantage.
Using the renowned Emergenetics Profile as our foundation, we can reveal what truly drives your team – what motivates them, what engages them, and what drains their energy. With this knowledge, you can apply the Emergenetics Platinum Rule: treat others as they wish to be treated, recognising and honouring their unique strengths. A Meeting of the Minds session is an opportunity to elevate both individual and team performance, creating a more connected, productive, and cohesive workforce.
When you know how your employees prefer to think and behave, you can be more deliberate about creating an inclusive, inspiring workplace that attracts, engages and retains the best people, and gives them a great experience too.
The Emergenetics Profile is considered unique because it provides a holistic, scientifically grounded view of human behaviour and cognitive preferences. Unlike other personality assessments that may focus on specific traits, Emergenetics integrates both thinking and behavioural attributes, offering a comprehensive understanding of an individual’s natural preferences.
The Emergenetics model is built around two main categories: Behavioural Attributes and Thinking Attributes.
Behavioural Attributes include Expressiveness, Assertiveness, and Flexibility. They describe outward behaviours such as communication style, decision-making pace, and adaptability. The Thinking Attributes include Analytical, Structural, Social, and Conceptual. These indicate how people process information, solve problems, and approach tasks. This dual framework is rare and valuable because it acknowledges that both internal thought processes and external behaviours shape how people work and interact.
The profile is simple but not simplistic. It is easy to understand whilst packing a powerful punch. People are immediately able to see where their preferences lie in terms of how they interact and communicate with other people. This leaves them excited to try out their new found understanding in way that make a real difference to their relationships and interactions.
Understanding your Emergenetics profile means understanding how you can harness your personal energy and therefore spend your energy getting the results that matter to you most.
As an expert explorer, Kate provides an energetic and inspiring platform for delegates to get real clarity about their own unique profile and understand how they can best utilise this understanding as part of a high performing team.

The Problem:
Misunderstandings and Communication Breakdowns at Work
We’re all unique individuals, but unfortunately, we don’t come with an instruction manual. This can make communication and relationships challenging, especially in today’s fast-paced workplace.
Despite the rise of sophisticated communication tools, business leaders report that teams still lose nearly one full workday each week due to misunderstandings (Grammarly). These communication gaps don’t just waste time – they create doubt, erode trust, and pull focus away from what really matters: achieving business objectives and serving customers.
Misunderstandings often lead people to second-guess themselves and those around them, causing frustration and inefficiency. Instead of working cohesively, teams may get stuck in a cycle of miscommunication, leading to disengagement and lower productivity.
A Meeting of the Minds session addresses this critical issue by helping teams understand and appreciate each other’s unique thinking and communication styles, enabling them to work together more effectively and productively.
The Solution:
A Meeting of the Minds Event
A Meeting of the Minds session offers a practical, engaging, and highly effective framework to tackle the communication challenges that hold teams back. By minimising misunderstandings and tapping into the unique strengths each person brings, it optimises the way you and your colleagues connect and collaborate.
Through the lens of the Emergenetics Profile, the session is a memorable and fun shortcut to understanding yourself and your teammates on a deeper level. This insight doesn’t just fade away – it sticks with you, sparking curiosity and leading to lasting improvements in communication and teamwork.
By reducing misunderstandings and enhancing both individual and collective impact, Meeting of the Minds helps teams move past communication barriers, enabling them to focus fully on achieving business goals and delivering for their customers.
“The session was delivered in a relaxed manner and colleagues were made to feel at ease within a safe space to be creative and share ideas.
The impact of the event created self-awareness which gave a deeper insight and appreciation of individuality “it’s okay to be different” enabled the recognition of differences and similarities in thinking styles and behaviours across the Team. Each recognising the value each colleague brings and how to utilise that added value to achieve a greater effectiveness of the team.
This event enabled a clearer understanding of the makeup of the team and how these styles and behaviours can be utilised when presented with problem solving scenarios and supported with building team relationships.
Against a backdrop of an everchanging environment with a blurring of reality this session provided team resilience which enabled the team to start to think as a group and be part of a shared journey.”

Our Approach to Thinking
At Clear Thinking, we believe that the quality of your thinking directly influences your success – personally and professionally. But in today’s fast-paced world, where quick decisions and juggling multiple demands are the norm, clear, reflective thinking is often pushed aside. That’s where we come in.
Why Choose Us?
We don’t just focus on content – we focus on insight. Our facilitation isn’t about delivering more information; it’s about creating moments of deep personal understanding. We co-create a space that encourages openness, honest conversations, and independent thinking, allowing people to truly see new possibilities for themselves and their teams.
The Clear Thinking Difference
- Our Focus is Clear, Independent Thinking: Great thinking doesn’t just happen. There’s often too much interference and distraction, so we have to create the conditions for each other to think well. Whilst taking action is highly prized, “the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first.” That’s where we always begin.
- Practical Expertise: Bev’s leadership across diverse sectors, from retail to healthcare, and Kate’s pragmatic, no-nonsense approach honed in the fast-paced retail world, mean that we get straight to the heart of the challenges leaders face. We understand the pressures, empathise with the realities, and offer real-world solutions.
- Insight-Driven Facilitation: Our sessions are less about delivering information and more about unlocking the personal and team insights that lead to meaningful change. We help you slow down, reflect, and think more effectively.
- A Rich Blend of Methodologies: We’ve always made it a priority to expand our own knowledge and understanding, to seek out the latest thinking and approaches to working with teams. As a result, our sessions are dynamic, engaging and impactful, because from the very first conversation, to the final moment of the project, our focus is on creating an immersive and meaningful experience that meets the needs of the people in the room, at that moment!
- Almost 20 Years of True Collaboration: Bev and Kate bring nearly two decades of experience working and co-creating together to foster environments where real, transformative thinking can take place. We know what collaboration looks and feels like, because we live and breathe it every day.

Delegates, Pensions Administration Team
“Our work with Bev and Kate at The Clear Thinking Partnership is aimed at helping both our organisation and individuals develop. We were thrilled to work with Bev and Kate having seen them in action at a healthcare conference in the spring. We are already feeling the benefit of their development days, which are beyond expectations in terms of impact and the speed with which we have started to achieve our objectives. What we appreciated most about working with Bev and Kate is their ability to create an engaging atmosphere, keep everyone happy, and deliver the expected results, and then some.”

Pricing – and what’s included
We’ll have an initial consultation to understand your needs and to gather information to help us shape your event.
As we design your event, we’ll keep you updated as to how it’s evolving so that you know what to expect on the day.
Meanwhile, we’ll begin the profiling process which involves emailing all delegates with brief instructions that enable them to complete their Emergenetics profile questionnaire online. Completion is straightforward and takes around 20 minutes. Ideally, we’d like everyone to have completed their questionnaire at least 7 days prior to the date of the Meeting of the Minds session to allow the teams data to be processed and reports created, ready to be shared on the day.
The event itself is half a day. We need 3 hours to facilitate the session and to ensure your team have time to understand the power of this new information.
Afterwards, we’ll be in touch to add you into our exclusive Clear Thinking Club, where a conversation that builds on the MOTM experience can take place. Everyone who attends the session will also have free access to the Emergenetics App, that provides a wealth of resources to bring the profile to life and encourage it to be applied to a wide variety of opportunities.
The pricing covers two aspects, the Profiling and the Facilitation.
The event fee is £950.00 + VAT
The profile is £160.00 + VAT per person
We also create a group report, which is complimentary.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to hold a Meeting of the Minds event for my team?
Here are 10 moments in the lifecycle of a team, when Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) is perfect…
No.1 New Team Formation When a new team is formed, team members need to establish trust, roles, and clear communication. MOTM creates a foundation of collaboration and understanding among members, which is critical for early-stage cohesion.
No.2 Onboarding New Members When new people join an existing team, it can disrupt the dynamic or shift how the team operates. Teams benefit from help to integrate these individuals, aligning them with team culture, values, and goals.
No3. Mergers or Reorganisations Organisational changes like mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring can create uncertainty and disconnection. Teams need to find alignment on new goals, clarify expectations, and work together through the transition.
No.4 After a Period of Conflict or Dysfunction When interpersonal conflict, communication breakdowns, or poor performance arise, it’s often a sign that something is needed. Deepening understanding of each other through a structured MOTM approach can help rebuild trust, resolve tensions, and create healthier interactions.
No.5 Significant Project Milestones or Challenges At key points in a project, such as when facing a big challenge, working on a high-stakes project, or celebrating a major milestone, a team may need help to refocus and enhance performance. It can also be useful to reflect on what works, what doesn’t, and how the team can learn from their experiences together.
No.6 Burnout or Decreased Morale When there are signs of burnout, low morale, or disengagement, a team needs to be re-energised, focusing on personal qualities, well-being, and connection with colleagues contribute to improved motivation and a sense of belonging.
No.7 Cross-Functional Teams When teams are formed from different departments or specialties, there’s a need to find a way to bridge diverse perspectives and work cultures. Meeting of the Minds encourages more open communication and builds mutual respect for different skills and approaches.
No.8 Remote or Hybrid Work Transitions Remote and hybrid work can lead to disconnects in team dynamics due to the lack of face-to-face interactions. In these cases, a team needs to re-establish cohesion, build trust, and improve communication in virtual environments.
No.9 Cultural or Value Shifts If the organisation is going through a change in its culture or values, or if a new leadership team is setting a different vision, teams need ways to align with these shifts and to reinforce how the team’s purpose fits into the broader organisational changes.
No.10 Improving Innovation and Creativity When a team is expected to drive innovation or develop new ideas, MOTM can support the team to foster creative collaboration, encourage risk-taking, open idea-sharing, and real understanding and interdependence. All are ways of ‘being’ that fuel innovation.
How much time do I need to allow to get things set up for a Meeting of the Minds event?
In order for things to run smoothly, we need around 3 weeks for delegates to be contacted to complete their profiles and the data pulled together into a usable format. We will work with you to ensure that the activity that happens ahead of the session is effortlessly easy.
What format is the profile report delivered in?
The profile is delivered in a variety of ways, based on individual preference. The report comes as a pdf, a paper copy and via the Emergenetics App, for access on the go.
If I’m not sure whether this profiling tool is right for me or my team, how can you help me ensure it’s a good fit?
If you are still uncertain about the Emergenetics profile, we find that the best way to ensure that it is the right fit is by you completing the profile for yourself. This will allow you to get a feel for the profile and just how accurate it is. If you’d like to try it for yourself, please let us know.
We’ve used other psychometric tools in the past, why would we want to use this one?
Emergenetics is a profiling tool that helps individuals better understand how they are wired to think and behave. It is grounded in a contemporary understanding of how the brain works and is continuously tested to ensure it remains robust, with just less than a million people having experienced the profile around the world.
The profile is designed not only for self-understanding but also for improving teamwork, communication, and leadership. It provides specific strategies for leveraging strengths and addressing gaps, making it a practical tool for organisational and personal growth.
Using Emergenetics as the basis of a Meeting of the Minds session opens up huge opportunities for teams and the individuals that make up the team, to get curious and excited about how the team is similar and different and how these strengths of similarity and difference can be leveraged to maximise individual dan team performance.
We know that by raising awareness and curiosity via any personality instrument, you might gain powerful insights that can support your personal and professional development.
Leaders in other organisations choose to use Emergenetics because:
- The Emergenetics assessment is scientifically valid and reliable.
- Emergenetics measures more than just Thinking styles; it’s really the Behaviours that set us apart.
- The results are memorable, easy to compare and instantly applicable.
- Emergenetics uses positive, strengths-based language – helping people to understand that they are perfect exactly as they are.
- The tool recognises that everyone has each of the seven attributes to varying degrees, so the results offer practical advice without boxing you in to just one type.
For those of you who love a bit of technical information, the profile is scientifically valid and reliable based on the Cronbach co-efficient [alpha co-efficient is greater than 0.7] It has strong test/ re-test results that means the profile results remain consistent over time. And, the Emergenetics profile is globally re-normed every 2 years, enabling participants to view their data based on a world population.
What if I have people in my team who are not willing to be ‘profiled’ for some reason?
If your team are uncomfortable about the profile it can be helpful to reassure them that is is a strengths’ based profile that highlights individual brilliances. There is no ‘best’ profile, and it is therefore, a very positive experience. We will happily talk to individuals about the profile ahead of the experience to ensure that all of their questions have been answered fully. If individuals are still not comfortable, they do not have to be included within the profiling activity.
If time is the issue, responding to the profiling questionnaire takes around 20 minutes online.
